Words and Rhythm in the Basement Bar

riverlines is a regular events programme which brings the best of contemporary writers to the Basement Bar at City Screen, Coney Street, York, where they read / perform / discuss their work with an audience of York's residents, students and visitors.

Come and join us once a month for a lively evening in one of the pleasantest riverside performance venues in York.

Change of sponsorship and venue
riverlines would like to thank York St John's C4C for the sponsorship of events 2005-7. The current season of events is sponsored by The Faculty of Arts at York St John University. Also thanks to City Screen for provision of venue in past years. Changes of bookings have necessitated a change of venue for the remains of the Spring Season. The next two events will be in the C4C foyer (behind the big glass doors bewteen the Old Chapel and the university buildings on Lord Mayor's Walk.) Access on foot is via Lord Mayor's Walk. If you are coming by car access to parking on campus is via the Clarence Street entrance.
